ART OF SURFING <\/span><\/h1>\n

This is the history of CATFUN, our history ...<\/span><\/p>\n

Two Windsurfers Herbert Neumann, alias R\u00e0dical Herbie and Bernhard Hochgrassl, opened the Art Of Surfing store in June 1987, and at the same time the \u201cCat Fun\u201d Board workshop was born at the back of the shop by Ovidio Saiz Y Rocky. The idea of \u200b\u200bsetting up the tent arises from the need for free time that Herbie needed to be able to train and compete in the Windsurfing World Cup, which while working for someone else, was impossible. Both come from Germany, although Herbie did it practically when he was a baby, returning there again to finish his studies, Bernhard nevertheless got off the university to come to Tarifa to those white, sunny beaches, full of wind and waves. Here in Tarifa you really did live well! with the cars parked on the beaches, in which the cows scratched their backs and the surfers held competitions to see who would leave their pants standing before putting them in the washing machine\u2026. That's how surf life was in Tarifa in the 80s. Herbie leaves the store in the hands of Bernhard for two years to dedicate himself completely to racing, sponsored by \"Art Of Surfing\", Cat Fun \"\" Volvo \"and\" Mistral \". When Herbie arrives, it is Bernhard who travels to the United States to obtain the title of Commercial Helicopter and Civil Aviation Pilot. In all his Art Of Surfing life, he has undergone two reforms, the first, provisional in 1993 and the second deepest in 1995, which still lasts, with small modifications, but respecting a style of rustic art that in his day he sat as chair in Rate. At present, we have had to adapt to new technologies, clothing brands, sports equipment, etc ... but we continue and we will continue working with the same desire and spirit since 1987.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\n
